Herman D. Mytelka Memorial Scholarship

Arnold Mytelka was chairman of the Ramapo College Board of Trustees from 1979-1980. Both of Mr. Mytelka’s parents were educators in the Jersey City public school system; his mother taught seventh and eighth grade English and his father was a math teacher and former principal of Dickinson High School. Herman Mytelka also taught at James J. Ferris High School in Jersey City. Arnold Mytelka established a scholarship at Ramapo in his mother’s memory in 1983 and created this award in memory of his father in 2006. This is a renewable scholarship.
Eligibility:
Incoming freshmen from any public high school in Jersey City, NJ; Dickinson High School preferred
Merit and financial need shall be considered.
