Lily D. Pasaporte Memorial Scholarship

In 1968, Mrs. Lily Dizon Pasaporte came to the U.S. following her brother and sister immigrating to Jersey City, and her husband and two small children arrived to join her in 1970. Mrs. Pasaporte was a graduate of the University of East, Manila, in the Philippines, where she earned a Master of Arts in Business Administration degree.

She was hired by Standard Chartered Bank located in the financial district of Manhattan where she started as a bank clerk and eventually moved up as an auditor. In 1993, she took the offer of early retirement and started a new career as a real estate agent in Bergen County until 2019.

The scholarship benefits senior or graduate students in accounting.
