David R. Hackett EMT Scholarship

Frances Hackett began her education in 1973 and graduated from Ramapo in 1980 with a degree in Business Administration and American Studies. Her years of dedication were recognized when she was honored with the President’s Award of Merit in 2007. In 2009, Fran created this endowed fund in honor of her husband, David. Applicants must submit a 1-2 page essay describing why they became an EMT, as well as most joyful and the most challenging experiences you’ve had while serving on the squad.
Eligibility:
Open to all majors
Students who serve as a volunteer EMT or member of the first aid squad in their hometown
