Karen Sweeney '87 Memorial Scholarship

For aspiring female leaders enrolled in ASB
Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, Karen Sweeney attended South Plainfield High School, and then earned a degree in Communication Arts from Ramapo College. Karen served as Vice President of Operations for Barnes & Noble College where she was an exceptional executive and a compassionate and inspiring leader. Karen enjoyed traveling, especially in Europe, and spent much time on Cape Cod, where her family lives. She was an unrelenting champion for all aspiring leaders, particularly young women who gravitated to Karen’s positive energy and thoughtful and committed mentoring.
