Jose F. Montes Memorial Scholarship

Francisco Montes ‘11, an alumnus of the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF), graduated from Ramapo College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Anthropology. The Jose F. Montes Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of Francisco’s father who passed away on April 14, 2020, and to honor the numerous healthcare workers who cared for him and others during the COVID pandemic. The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize EOF students pursuing a career in the healthcare industry. Applicants must submit an essay of up to 2 pages identifying what their career goal is and what inspired them to pursue that particular career.
Eligibility:
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Open to Nursing majors and other related healthcare & human services majors
Students in the EOF program
