Prestin Walter Moore Memorial Scholarship
For students who have overcome circumstances to obtain their college degree
Prestin Walter Moore was tragically taken from his family in an automobile accident on his way to visit family in Mahwah for Thanksgiving, 2015. Prestin was just 12 years old. Prestin’s aunt, a Ramapo College staff member, along with family and friends decided to establish this scholarship as a permanent legacy to Prestin. Prestin was a very kind boy who loved all sports. He also loved to play video games and be with his family. Prestin was a very compassionate child with an old soul. He especially loved his dog, Mika, and his nephew Adrian. Prestin taught Mika to play football and other tricks, while at the same time being the light of Adrian’s eyes. Applicants are required to write an essay with examples of how they’ve overcome circumstances to pursue their degree.
