Milton and Granville Gittens ASB Scholarship

Milton Gittens, Ph.D joined the Ramapo College faculty in 1973. When he died in 2010, two endowed scholarships were created in Dr. Gittens’ and his father’s name. Both awards are intended to recognize students who are “descendants of slavery in the United States or Barbados in the West Indies.” Applicants must submit a 1-2 page essay escribing their career goals and how they arrived at that decision.
Eligibility:
Minority students; descendants of American, Barbados or West Indies heritage preferred
Demonstrated financial need
Good Academic Standing
