Marion Hughes Endowed Scholarship

A returning adult student, Marion Hughes ‘80 gave as much to the intellectual and social life she found at Ramapo as she received. After graduating, she went on to earn a master’s degree in family and community education from Columbia University Teachers College and a master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University. Upon her death in 1997, friend Mrs. Mary Ippolito ‘82 worked with Marion’s friends and family to raise enough funds to establish an endowed scholarship in Marion’s memory. Recipients “display a desire to learn and a love for the academic environment similar to that of Marion Hughes.”

Returning woman students ages 30+
Financial need based on Ramapo College Foundation policy
