Daniel S. Thaler Memorial Scholarship

The Daniel S. Thaler Memorial Scholarship was created by Daniel’s parents, Bruce Thaler and Elaine Silverstein. Daniel earned his degree in History at Ramapo College in 2012. “Ramapo was a place where Dan truly came into his own. His professors brought out something in him that we (and he) hadn’t seen before,”said his father, Bruce Thaler. While at Ramapo, he excelled in his classes, particularly history, and earned induction into Phi Alpha Theta, an international history honor society. Upon Daniel’s death in 2022, this endowed scholarship was established in his name.
