Kathleen Taylor and Connell Family First Generation Scholarship Endowment

Kathy Taylor was a mathematics professor at Duquesne University for 39 years. While she was active as a volunteer for a large number of organizations and causes – including the Mathematics Association of America, St. Margaret of Scotland Church, and People Able to Lend Support (PALS) – it was at Duquesne that Kathy found a long standing professional home. As a professor she witnessed the transformative power of higher education. The Connell family chose to create this endowed scholarship in her memory specifically for students who are first in their families to attend college.
