Eileen Comerford ‘80 Ethical Change Agent Scholarship
Eileen Comerford ’80 earned a B.S. in Economics and business administration. She is currently a Regional Coordinator for the NJ Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman, having served as a volunteer advocate for 11 years. She is also retired Director of Municipal Investments at Gallatin & Company, LLC. Previously, she worked for J. & W. Seligman & Company, Inc. managing municipal bond funds. Eileen joined the Foundation Board of Governors in 2014; she serves as treasurer of the board and is Chair of the Finance Committee. She is also a member of the audit, investment, and performing arts series committees. Eileen is a member of the ASB alumni advisory board and the Roadrunner Financial Group advisory board. She served on the Learning Commons capital campaign cabinet and made a major gift to that campaign. Eileen was honored at the 2021 Distinguished Citizen’s event.
Eileen has had the opportunity to engage with students as a mentor and, in her role as a member of the Foundation executive board, has attended various events including the annual scholarship reception. She has seen firsthand the impact a scholarship can have on a student’s education. She created this scholarship to benefit a student of any major who strives to be “an ethical change agent.”
