Cabral-Mangone FIrst Generation Scholarship

Carolina Cabral ‘04 and her husband Kevin Mangone met at Ramapo, both studying the life sciences in preparation for careers in medicine. While both of Carolina’s parents attended college in Brazil, their degrees were not recognized upon immigrating to the United States – and both worked even harder, outside of their chosen fields, to provide the financial resources necessary for Carolina’s college tuition. In establishing this endowed scholarship, Carolina and Kevin recognize and wish to provide assistance in meeting-the challenges many first-generation families face. Focusing their support on students studying the life sciences honors their experiences while assisting students that follow in their footsteps.
